Meet Emily

Quiet Strength Pilates is founded by Emily Amisano.

A practitioner with over 11 years of experience in studio and rehab Pilates, Emily places particular value on the Pilates method and its inside-out approach, beginning with breath and cultivating body awareness as the grounding foundation for movement.

Emily welcomes working with people of all ages and capacities, and enjoys creating sessions that specifically suit both your overarching goals, and your changing needs on the day.

Emily Amisano

Emily comes from background in contemporary dance, enjoying a 16 year career performing across Australia and the world. She has been teaching movement since her late teens, and studied her first Pilates certificate at 19. Emily has worked with Bangarra Dance Theatre and Sydney Dance Company for many years, using her breadth of experience in their technique and conditioning for dance programs.

Complementing her Pilates training, Emily has a special interest in fascia-focused movement. Through both modalities her aim is to build individual capacity and movement love through training a responsive body and curious mind.

Professional Qualifications

  • Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction (Polestar)

  • Diploma of Slings Myofascial Training/FAMO Fascia Movement (Art of Motion)

  • Associate Degree in Dance (QUT)

  • Certificate 4 in Massage Therapy (Australian College of Applied Science)

  • First Aid/CPR certificate

  • Working with Vulnerable People registration

Further professional development include courses/workshops/conferences;

Slings Myofascial Body Reading and Movement Strategies, international Fascia conferences, Pilates Association Australia conference & pelvic floor, pregnancy, scoliosis and disc pathology workshops
